I added one scan of Michiel in Beau Monde magazine, a Dutch glamour magazine. It’s just a snippet, but always nice to read. It’s a tiny article about Michiel and his success in the States. This article focusses on the fact that Michiel is doing a commercial for ‘Mr Porter’ and ‘Chanel’.

Hi there! My name is Aniek and I will be helping out at the site from now on. I also run sites as Jenatics (Jennifer Lawrence) and a Dutch fansite for Jennifer Aniston. I am also in the progress of opening my own Emilia Clarke website, so make sure you visit this. Thanks a bunch to Alikat for letting me be a part of the team. Well, I am from Holland, so I can update the site with all the Dutch related stuff. I will be adding screencaptures of Michiels Dutch movies and start collecting stuff from before he moved with his family to the USA.
Well, I added screencaptures of Michiel in the 2001 Dutch movie ‘Costa’, which was huge deal back then. I remember seeing it twice. He had a small part in it, playing Bart. Too bad there weren’t BluRay dvd’s back then, because the quality of my dvd is low. I hope you like them. Stay tuned for more updates from my end.

Welcome to my new site for Michiel Huisman. Whether you know him from Treme, Orphan Black, Game of Thrones, Nashville, or his many Dutch films and shows, I think we can all agree he has fantastic charisma that allows him to step into any role and kill it. I’m just starting out so bare with me while I update the gallery with screencaps and other photos. If you have anything you’d like to send to contribute, with credit of course!, I’d appreciate it.
Tonight the long awaited fourth season of Game of Thrones premieres in America. Tomorrow we can enjoy the spectacle in which not only Carice van Houten but also Michiel Huisman can be seen.
Game of Thrones, in which Michiel plays the brave warrior Daario, is not the only production the actor puts himself on the map with.
Three series at the same time
In the coming month the Dutch man, who’s been living in New Orleans for five years now, can be seen in as much as three TV series on American television.
ABC is currently showing the third season of Nashville, in which Michiel plays the roll of rogue music producer Liam McGuinness. And BBC America starts airing season 2 of the sci-fi drama Orphan Black on the April 19th. Michiel plays the new character Cal in this series.
The Big Screen
Michiel is making himself known in the movie-scene as well. After a small part in the action-thriller World War Z with Brad Pitt last year, he is currently shooting the feature film The Age of Adaline together with Harrison Ford
and Blake Lively. This movie is set to premiere in 2015.

Starting September Michiel and Gisele will be seen in the Chanel N5 campaign. Paparazzi pictures that appeared online two weeks ago showing them in full costume. Sharp suit, done up hair, pretty dress… and Gisele in comfortable black Uggs. Michiel’s roll in the clip isn’t clear yet.
Game of Thrones
The Dutch actor’s career is going strong in the US, where he has lived for 5 years now. Recently he was in three popular TV shows: HBO-hit Game of Thrones, musical series Nashville and sci-fi drama Orphan Black.
Getting bigger parts
Huisman is also getting more and bigger parts in movies. Recently he taped The Age of Adaline with Harrison Ford and Gossip-Girl actress Blake Lively. This movie will probably be out by the end of this year.
How much the actor gets for the Chanel campaign is unknown. We do know that Brad Pitt could add €7 million to his bank account two years ago.

Michiel Huisman keeps on going. In an interview with the prestigious Interview Magazine he tells about his work. And: He poses for some hot pictures.
That Michiel Huisman was doing well we already knew.
This year he played in as much as three shows on American TV: Game of Thrones, Nashville and Orphan Black. Now he’s also working on the movies Wild, with Reese Witherspoon, and Age of Adaline, with Blake Lively and Harrison Ford.
After spending a few months in a hotel in Vancouver because of working there, he is currently back at his home in New Orleans. With his wife Tara Elders and their daughter. “We felt that the gypsy life is hard if you don’t have a steady home base anywhere in the world”, Michiel tells Interview Magazine. They’re not home a lot but “it feels good to have a place with our own things somewhere.”
Carice van Houten
He explains to Andy Warhol’s magazine how he practices accents for his rolls. Just when he got the hang of the American accent he needed to learn a mix of British and European sounds for Game of Thrones. He also tells that he thinks it’s a shame he never sees Carice van Houten on the Game of Thrones set because their storylines are being shot in completely different countries.

Have you watched Game of Thrones this season and thought, “I wish Daario Naharis was my champion”? Did you then flipped over to Nashville and found yourself cursing music producer Liam for getting Scarlett addicted to uppers? And have you been attracted to them both? Yup, that’s the power of chameleon-like Michiel Huisman, who has brought his dark horse appeal to Westeros, the pop-country music circuit, and now, TV’s most beloved cult favorite, Orphan Black. For the uninitiated, the BBC America sci-fi thriller, which airs Saturdays at 9 pm EST, stars Tatiana Maslany as a collection of clones. In season 2 of the cult favorite, Huisman plays the beleaguered love interest to one of them: rebellious single mom, Sarah. We caught up with Huisman to discuss his roles on Orphan Black and Game of Thrones, as well as his upcoming film The Age of Adaline, which co-stars Blake Lively and Harrison Ford. And for the record he’s just as charming on the phone as he is clad in armor reigning victorious for the Mother of Dragons.
You really are all over TV right now.
Yeah, it’s a little weird almost. I just did a photo shoot for a magazine with a bunch of supporting actors and they’d ask me, “So what show are you on?” and I was almost embarrassed to say, “Well, Game of Thrones, Orphan Black, and Nashville.” They’re like, “How’s that possible?” And I don’t know. Somehow it was possible to be guests on all those shows in the last year. It’s been fun. One of the fun things as an actor is to really spread your wings as wide as possible and do a variety of roles. I’ve been really lucky in that sense I think.
Are these shows ones you were a fan of before?
There’s so many great TV shows out there right so there’s no way I can see all of them. So Orphan Black, when I was asked to do an audition for it, I’d never seen it. So I started watching it and I loved it right away. I was completely blown away by Tatiana’s performance in it and that I’m looking at scenes with two characters that are played by one actress and I’m believing it. After watching the show I was even more eager to be part of it. The same goes for Game of Thrones. I’d seen a lot but after auditioning I watched everything. It’s weird to say I’m a fan of shows I’m working on myself, but I think I am.
Will you be in any scenes on Orphan Black that involve more than one clone?
Not really. There’s one scene towards the end where I get to see a couple more but not really. My storyline involves Sarah.
